I Love Mornings

Morning Dew HD Wallpaper
"Morning is when the wick is lit. A flame ignited, the day delighted with heat and light, we start the fight for something more than before" ~ Jeb Dickerson
I love mornings. There, I said it. I really and truly do! I even get up super early on the weekends. I know this probably makes me a bit of an oddball but that certainly wouldn't be the first time. Mornings are something I long for and appreciate. I think we too often take them for granted. To me, nothing compares to that feeling of embarking upon a new day. It awakens the senses. There are just so many wonderful things about the morning time:
  • The promise of a new day
  • The chorus of birds as they celebrate the day to come
  • The breathtaking beauty of the sunrise
  • The glistening shine of dew-covered lawns
  • The way the morning fog embraces the hilly landscape
These are but a few of the reasons that I love mornings. Are you a morning person or a night owl?

  1. I'll never be a morning person, despite the fact I get up between five and five-thirty during the week. Used to be a night owl, but just can't stay up that late anymore. If they could move dawn to about ten-thirty, I'd be good!

  2. I'm a big morning person! I love starting my day bright and early while everyone else in the house is still quiet and sleeping. It makes me feel so productive and the day so full of possibilities :)

  3. I'm more of a morning person than anything else. I love the people-quiet and the freshness of the air at the start of a day.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I too love morning and there’s nothing refreshing like this. Even I rarely wake up early; I appreciate the beauty whenever I get the opportunity and I feel quite energetic beginning a day with sunrise. It’s so precious.

  5. I'm more of a 'love to see the morning after being up all night' kind of person. The Great Scot works night shift so being a night owl is a must for me.

    ReplyDelete
  6. i adore mornings. my favorite are weekend mornings- an hour or so with no expectations and nothing planned. a time to reflect and have some serious 'me-time'. :)

  7. I like to morning as well, as long as I don't stay up until late in the night haha I guess I can be both, depends on when I go to sleep.

  8. i get more done at night...perhaps i feel at ease there and unhurried...but i do love my mornings too....i like to be up to see the sun off on the new day...there is a bit of magic that happens when it first peeks over the mountains...

  9. Definitely mornings. On the flip side, I have to attend meetings in the evening -- that can be a challenge. But, it's good to be up a couple of hours before I go into the office, just to relish the new day.

  10. I want so badly to be a morning person. When I can actually crawl out of bed and have coffee with my roommate it sets up a chain reaction for my day that is hard to beat.

    ReplyDelete
  11. so. i hate early mornings but i have started to love and appreciate them more and more. it gives you purpose and focus. that said, i love evenings too lol so maybe im a mix? xx

  12. THIS is one thing we have in common big time. Most people don't understand us do they? ha! Yes, mornings are beautiful there is no getting around it!

    Good morning!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I'm definitely a night owl. Mornings are very difficult for me. But a part of me still wishes I could know how to better appreciate mornings...

    ReplyDelete
  14. Night owl here. I had to be at work at 6 a.m. for 35 years before retiring. Did it but never got used to it. But now I like to wake up at 4 or 5 just for the pleasure of going back to sleep.

  15. all the amazing things that I read about, the ones narrated in The Secret, or the Power, about being happy, being grateful.. loving everything about life, they just reflect back at me when I read your works. Be it any post of yours, it carries such an amount of delight and insight, it's captivating!

I am a morning person. Love it early! Hate the day when I haven't woken up early! :)

  16. That is a wonderful question. It seems like one is genetically implanted with one or the other. I am definitely an early morning person.Big burst of energy as soon as I awake and I love to live alone because I sing as soon as I wake up.... loud and bad.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I'm a wannabe morning person but a night owl at heart... with a smattering of insomnia thrown in just to complicate things.

    ReplyDelete
  18. i am only a morning person if the sun shines otherwise I am a bed person

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'm a morning person, I just love to wake up and start the day with big smile with hot chocolate on my hands.:)

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm both, which is why I'm so tired all the time! If I had to give up one, though, it would be my night owl status. I love mornings because the house is quiet and the day is new and full of possibility.

    Happy Tuesday!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Definitely a morning person - for all the reasons you so eoquently mentioned and more :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. I love mornings too - I often stopped to admire a new dawn on my way home from a good night out!

  27. Morning is the best time of day for me. Very nice post.

  28. 4 am makes for a good start to road trips. gas station coffee, empty highways. mornings are good.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Totally agree. I just love morning and the birth of promise.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Mornings are my favourite time of the day too. Breakfast is my most important meal of the day and gets me ready for what's ahead.
However, having said this, I prefer my mornings are quiet and not much chatter. It takes me a wile to 'get going'....and that is not because of my age!! lol I have always been like this.....I LOVE my mornings quiet.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I love the morning for all the reasons you've given. However, I've always been a hardcore night owl. I think there is some vampirism in my Hungarian blood.

    ReplyDelete
  32. More of a morning person for sure, knowing that I have a whole day ahead to do the things I love. I love the quietness of the morning, walking when most people are in bed, especially at weekends. For all the reasons you have given. The promise of a fresh start each dawn.

I like night time, too. There is a magic around both. A time to be active, and a time to rest... :)

I have always felt that the moment when you first wake up in the morning is the most wonderful of the twenty-four hours. No matter how weary or dreary you may feel, you possess the certainty that, during the day that lies before you, absolutely anything may happen. And the fact that it practically always doesn’t, matters not a jot. The possibility is always there.

  33. I'm learning to love mornings, but I'll admit, I slept in an hour past my normal time, it was really nice. All the same, I was up earlier than I ever used to be even with sleeping in an hour!
I love the peacefulness of mornings, I can't wait for summer mornings where I can go outside to wake up, that is the *best*. ^_^

    ReplyDelete
  34. Morning is my favorite part of any day!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I love mornings for three parts of the year but dark winter mornings do not sit well with me. To stay in bed on a summer or spring morning is to miss the best part of the day.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Although I like mornings, they are so hectic at my house getting kids breakfast and off to school that is hard to enjoy them.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well, you're certainly not alone. I love mornings, too, and I get up very early every day. There are so many beautiufl things about the early hours.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I love mornings also. Watching the sun rise as i inhale my legally addictive stimulant- coffee. I also like to hear the birds chirp in the morning and I get up at 5:30- 6:00 am on the weekends. *hides and giggles*

    ReplyDelete
  39. I wished I were more of a morning person- when I do get up early, it is the best thing ever! I feel like I am so much more motivated/excited to get the day started!

  41. Although I've always loved to roam the streets at night, i can appreciate a good morning, sunrise and all. I love to wake in the morning, put on a fresh pot of coffee, open the blinds in the living room and stare out the window. I do it often, especially in the summer. And anyone who has children knows that morning is the best time for them. I love em all day long, but there's something about mornings ween they freshly awaken and they're ready to go. Its a beautiful thing.

  42. Hi Keith .. I'm a morning person, but on these cold days I do stay in bed, listen to the blackbirds singing and wait for the sun to rise - I'll be glad when it's warmer too ...

    Cheers Hilary

  43. I don't like getting up early but I do love the fact that I'm still able to wake up each and every morning! If the morning is sunny and bright I especially love looking at the sunshine and the treelike across the street.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Night owl, but I love every freshness of a new day.

    Enjoy...

  45. You sound like my husband. He is a morning person too. Me? Not so much. It takes me forever to get motivated in the mornings. I've started to move my workouts to past 2pm just so I have the energy to chug through them. I am definitely a night owl!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Total morning person here too. I love to get up before everyone else and watch the day unfold. I feel completely out of sorts on the rare occasions I sleep in, like the day is almost wasted or something.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I am also a morning person. I have so much energy in the morning and I wake up excited to face the new day.

    ReplyDelete
  49. There is something peaceful about walking outside really early and the world being so still. However getting out of bed is another story, I don't love it :)

    ReplyDelete
  50. I do love the mornings too...that quiet with a cup of coffee, listening to the day come awake is so lovely. However, I am a bit more of a night owl in recent days.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Mornings are wonderful. Fresh and new and holding all the soft colours of a new day.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I'm currently a night owl due to my teaching schedule. I teach at night. I guess it depends what I'm doing in my life and my schedule. I do LOVE mornings too. My husband and I always eat a long, slow breakfast together at around 8AM. We are kind of on the same schedule with work.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I am a night owl....I hate mornings...Even though each night before I prepare myself for bed, I take the resolution of waking up the next morning early....The resolution invariably fails...sigh...
After all these years, I should have given up...But the strange fact is I am still trying...LoL
    take care...

  57. I admire you morning types. :-) I've never really been one, although now that I think of it, my alarm goes off at 5:00 and I always awaken cheerful.

Have I become, over time, a morning person? :-D

  58. I'm a morning person. There's so much to be done and so much can be done. The motivation to start something in the morning is easier than to wrap up whatever in the night! A morning person ends the day with a sense of achievement! Nicely Keith!

  63. When I was younger, mornings were the best. Now, I enjoy nighttime and time for bed!EXCEPT Saturday, I love Saturday mornings and I get up early to enjoy it.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I am so not a morning person even after I've had my latte. Even when I've done the early shift at my journalism jobs I've never gotten used to it.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I sleep late ... but I love it when I wake up early :-)

    ReplyDelete
  66. I am also a morning person, I appreciate a fresh beginning and the wonder of what a new day will bring. I have been teased and mocked for it since I can remember. I don't push it on anyone else but I love the mornings and sunrise. Sunrise this morning was fiery orange and icy. Thanks Keith!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Definitely a night owl! It's all I can do to drag myself out of bed in the mornings... but I can stay up ever so late no problem at all! ;o)

    ReplyDelete
  68. Morning and I have never gotten along well. :/ But I so WANT to be a morning person! I know I miss a lot of bird activity because of my laziness. Maybe one day...

    ReplyDelete
  69. I'm more of a morning person, but sometimes my schedule has me living like a night owl. I've gotten into the habit of sleeping too late, and I miss being up and and about early in the day.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I love morning as well and all the promise a new day holds :)

    ReplyDelete
  71. I have always been a morning person, but my husband is a night owl. That means I stay up fairly late with him, and still get out of bed before sun-up. It also means I have bags under my eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Growing up I was a total night owl and would often sleep til noon if given the chance! It wasn't until I got my chickens and HAD to wake up at dawn to let them out of their coop that I started to become a morning person. And now I love it. I never thought I would be a morning person, but I really do love mornings.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I'm a bit more of a night owl that isn't opposed to burning the midnight oil however on the occasions that I've greeted the morning I try to do it with a song ;)

    ReplyDelete
  74. I adore mornings, dawn is the most gorgeous time of day x

    ReplyDelete

  79. I absolutely am a morning person. I usually work the early morning shifts so I can be up anywhere between 2-6 depending on where I am in the US. I love the early morning quiet. Especially in the summer when I can sit outside with my tea.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I am now and have always been a morning person. I prefer to get up to greet the dawn. Generally, I write for 30 to 45 minutes when I first get up. I do a little mindfulness exercise, and then I take a walk. These days dawn come to late for me to welcome as I have to be at work by 7:30 but I am encouraging her to some along with me. Summers are outstanding b/c I really can meet dawn at the day's gate every day! Thanks for your post!

  82. I wish I was a morning person, but I'm more of a night owl as that's when I get my best ideas and often quite a bit of energy. However if I ever get up early, I really appreciate that quiet time before the world wakes up. And thanks for being the first comment on my blog :O)

  83. The quote is lovely ;

It is a blessing to wake up everyday and to feel alive. To see the sun shine :)

I must say I am like mornings and afternoons the most , yet I also have the bad habit of staying up until late then to get up early lol

A beautiful post, my friend :)

    Take care**

  84. I am a definite morning person! Love to get up with the sunrise. I do hit the sack very early so I get a good night's sleep. I feel fresh and creative first thing in the morning, I think because I have so many vivid dreams.

I also love morning because I'm usually the only one in our house up early and I get a couple of hours alone to write.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I like mornings ... if they arrive around 8:30 or 9:00 am. I am not fond of the 6 am variety.

I am definitely a night owl. That is when I spill new words most easily. I love staying up till 2am writing, then open the laptop late the next morning to see if what I wrote is any good or not ...

    ReplyDelete

  87. Im a night owl but only because Ive spent the last several years working late shifts. I do enjoy waking up early and enjoying a "full day" but that rarely happens.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I love that quote! And don't worry, I'm a morning person too. =D

    ReplyDelete
  89. I love this post! it's so true, mornings are wonderful.

I love mornings, but I also love evenings. I have a hard time with afternoons. My ideal schedule would be waking up early, going to work or school, having a loooong nap in the afternoon, and getting back up for dinner and whatever else.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I'm retired now, but I have always been an early morning riser. our mornings this past week is now a special delight-we have never had canadian geese stop by our ponds-we now have at least one pair every morning-such fun

  91. Morning person here! I was a single mom for 8 years ... and so I have been getting up at 3:30 AM since my son was 1 1/2 years old... it was the only way to get 'me' time :) I still get up that early -- just me and the dog while everyone else sleeps :)

    ReplyDelete
  94. I couldn't agree more! I love mornings and night, guess i'm a night owl and I have worms!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Saying I am not a morning person is an understatement! I've neeeeever been good with mornings, never liked them, and probably never will. Wish I were, as with two little kiddies it would certainly make life easier! ;)
But I'm an inherent night owl, it's just who I am. My body always starts to peak and wake up in the evenings. Strange! (and probably a sign of adrenal fatigue...)

    ReplyDelete
  96. It's mornings for me. As the day wears on, my energy steadily wans.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I have always been a night owl but now that I have to get up early for work on weekdays I am beginning to appreciate mornings more now. There's a peaceful calm in the morning as the new starts that I enjoy.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I have this saying, 'Mornings are magic.' Not everyone appreciates this as you might imagine. I do adore mornings. My Mom says it's because I was born in the early morning. It's my best time of day. I'm not surprised it's yours too, Keith.

    ReplyDelete
  104. i used to love mornings. now work has be gasping for sleep. and my mornings are lost to the 5 minute more sleeps.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I love watching the sun come up - the way there is just a tiny glimmer of light and then slowly the sky turns pink and then -Ta Da! The bright morning sun. It is so lovely shining through the trees on slanted rays. But alas, I am such a night owl that I don't see this miracle as often as I would like. I must make an effort. You have inspired me to try! xx

    ReplyDelete
  106. I used to be a night person. There was a time in college where I wouldn't sleep hardly at all. I would cat nap off and on all day. There was something about working on artwork when the world was silent.

Then I had kids. I now am tired the next day if I'm up past 11. I get up at 6:30 every day. It doesn't matter if it's a weekend or not.

  107. i love mornings in the countryside. i love the lake water flowing gently over a rocky bed. I love the trees fringing the mountains creating a breathtaking picturesque :) i love the night time in the city. i love the lights and it's cool busy breeze. :)

  116. Whilst I do like mornings, I am really a night owl.
I love the way everthing seems to change with nightfall:
Familiar things become puzzling and enigmatic as daylight fades, and I find myself inexorably drawn to explore those strange new landscapes!!

    ReplyDelete
  117. I don't think that makes you an oddball, or if it does, I'm one too.
    Amen to all of this.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Morning, all the way, in fact pre-dawn, anywhere between 2 am and 4am, mostly 2ish

    ReplyDelete
  119. I love mornings when I can actually enjoy them. My favorite morning is Sunday morning because the sun will shine, the birds will chirp, and I curl back to sleep for a little bit longer! =)

    ReplyDelete
  120. My favorite feeling is getting up super early, doing absolutely everything I need done for the day and then just sitting back, relaxing and enjoying the moment

    ReplyDelete
  121. You see to me the sunrise signals the end of a long day for me the most beautiful part of it is how it puts me to sleep knowing the world is bathing in the light it just puts me at peace. Nothing quite beats a monday morning for me though after an exceptionally long weekend and sunday night life seeing the world start it's real business and routine especially when I see someone like me that might've had a longer weekend and still has a day life he has to go to now.

  122. I was going to say "that's why you're an Optimistic Dreamer" but realized your blog title is Musings of an Unapologetic Dreamer. Can't help but see someone that likes mornings as a very optimistic person :)

    ReplyDelete
  123. i love them too.

fave mornings on vacation, coffee & a book on a cool, quiet balcony with a view while others sleep - heaven

also tied for fave - sharing coffee & conversation with my early rising parents! just us.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Total morning person. I feel like I missing out and wasting half the day if I sleep in. I love going to diners for breakfast and taking in everything-the sounds, the smells and the tastes. I love driving in the morning, the way the traffic lights look against the sky and the hustle/bustle associated with people going to work and school. Simple things that fuel my senses.

On the flip side, if I want a quiet cup of coffee, I love the fact that everyone is still asleep when I wake up. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  125. Mornings all the way. Every day is like Christmas or vacation. Fresh. New. An adventure.

    ReplyDelete
  126. I love this. Especially the first reason. if we're being honest, I'm a mixture of both. I know that sounds weird. But I guess when I get chances to sleep in, I do. Because I do need sleep. And when I have those sleeping in the next mornings coming up, I usually stay up late. Because I like the comfort of being the only one awake in my house, listening to music in the still of the night, appreciating the stars, or just reading until I finally drift off to sleep. It's relaxing when the day has been hectic. On the other side, some mornings when ive had to wake up early, I enjoy that as well. I enjoy the still and quietness of mornings where I can sip my coffee and eat my hot oatmeal and read the Bible and look forward to the new adventure of a new day.

    ReplyDelete
  127. I'm with you there. Morning is when I'm most productive.

    ReplyDelete
  128. I like to start early, though it is more difficult in winter when it's still dark and cold....

    ReplyDelete
  129. Neither. I go to bed early and wake up wanting quiet, no surprises, just a slow movement from sleep into wakefulness. Above all else, no talking. Talking requires thought and I can't think in the morning.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I am an early bird and also wake up early on weekends. I get more done before noon on Saturdays then most people do during a whole weekend. Seeing the blaze of sun, walking my dog and talking with the chickadees. Though spring/summer mornings are best with my windows and curtains open to the sounds of wood thrush, red-bellied woodpeckers and pewees. And green is my favorite color too, being able to see the green landscape covered in dew is such a delight.

  131. I am a true, true night owl! Not easy with small children though. I've tried changing myself so many times but it's always an epic fail. Trying to embrace my inner owl!!! (Love the name of your blog, by the way!!!)

  132. Early mornings are my favorite time of the day. It's dark when I start out on my walk and the sun is starting to rise when I return - I love that!

  133. The happiest time of day for me is early dawn. Its my alone time, to think, to write, to listen to a crackling fire, and the morning birds, and most importantly, to have my cup of strong dark roast coffee, please!!!
I accomplish more in the morning. My thoughts are brimming. The new day has so much to offer.

  134. My favorite thing in the world is mornings-so much happens!
If I had to choose I would definitely select Saturday mornings the best!
    Very great post my friend!

  136. Night Owl. I have the most energy after sunset and like the dark more than the light. I like living in a city and walking under the city lights in the evenings, there's an incredible peacefulness to it that is just impossible in the day light.

  137. I like the mornings at the weekend, but not during the working week - especially at this time of year (winter). Having read this post I'm going to try to get up early once every weekend to make a bit more of the day.

  138. Great photo! I'm not really a morning person myself...

  139. Morning Lark ~ all the way! I love the freshness of the new day with so many possibilities in the hours ahead. I grew up in a family of Night Owls and never new I was a lark, until I left home!

  140. I'm more of a night owl but I have got up early on many occasions to photograph the sunrise as it appears across the fields right in front of my window. It this particular time that nature blows me away.

  141. I get up at 5 am every day, even on Christmas. The only time I don't is while on vacation. My hubby wouldn't appreciate that. But if I naturally wake up that early, then I'm a happy camper. :)

  142. it's funny. I used to hate mornings when i was working, needed a whole bunch of coffee to get going. Then right after I got hurt and became unemployed, I decided to change things up and started going to bed early and getting up around 6. After the first few weeks of slogging through it, I began to love it. I'd get the shower done before anyone was awake, have breakfast, do a bit of writing, and then after all that was done, I'd start job hunting etc.. But, I've regressed to my old ways, and now, for whatever reason, I still get up around 8 or 9 but I'm up until 2 or 3, and then take another nap around 3 in the afternoon for a couple of hours. Anyhow, I don't recommend this sleep schedule to anyone, as it is very tough to get anything creative done when you're tired or having your day broken up like this. Anyhow, trying to work things out to get back to the morning routine I had at one time. Nice post again. Thanks

  143. I love mornings when I don't have to go to work. It's really weird. I loathe getting up to the sound of an alarm and having to rush to get to work. But on my day off, I tend to wake up earlier than when I get up for work and I'm always happy about it and get SO much done. Love it.

  144. It does not make you an odd ball at all, I think it's fantastic. I love your enthusiasm for the morning. Not me, I am a night person. Once the late afternoon, early evening comes, I am full of energy and in a better mood.

  145. I tend to be a night owl, but I love mornings when I have time to ease into the day. A couple hours to get a few things done, but also relax over breakfast/coffee.

  147. Great inspiration! Mornings for me... To open my eyes to a new, original day. One that has never been before is all the inspiration I need. A new morning is a new chance to miracle-up!

  149. Neither. The weather's horrible in the UK at the moment - very grim and grey. Hands up, I just want my bed!

  150. I both love and hate mornings. Mornings hold so much promise. Things seem quieter. The muted sunrise is always peaceful. I love watching the light gently creep up over the horizon and cast its glow onto the ground, the buildings and, finally, everything. When I was a child, I loved getting up early in the morning during the summer. It was less humid, then, I would ride my bike through the sleepy town. I still like mornings, still nostalgically think back to those times. However, I am NOT a morning person. I am entirely crabby and, as I often say, I "HATE ALL THINGS." I'm much more of a night owl (actually, "insomniac" would be a better word).

  151. I used to be nocturnal before marriage but thanks to my husband, I wake up early and relish the promise and beauty of the morning. :)

  152. I used to be a night owl, now I am a morning person. Guess what, the both the morning and night hours brought me closer to nature.

  153. My best memory of a morning is when I used to greet the sun sitting on Malecon Avenue (the road that separates the sea from the land in Havana). A very, very late night was followed by an impromptu concert on Malecon until we lost our voices and our eyes were bloodshot. Half-asleep and completely knackered we all saw the nascent sun rise up in the beautiful Cuban morning.

I loved your post. It triggered off many memories.

    Greetings from London.

  156. I'm a night owl which really doesn't help when it comes to early mornings.

  157. I'm not a morning person and, sorry to say, dislike the early bird-song. In the summer they can start warbling at around 3am and that does my head in! If I'm honest, Keith, I'd happily consider ear-plugs and blackout curtains all year round - and I'm a sun dodger to boot! I guess I'm a bit of an oddball to most people, too!! Oh, how I'd love your enthusiasm....!♥

  160. Hi Keith.. I am SO a morning person... I love the quiet time where I can relax... read some blogs, cook a meal... do a load of laundry... I just relax which gets my day started off on the right foot.

When I am working... I am typically up by 4:00 am... I leave the house at 7:00 am... it makes my day so much better since I don't have to rush.

I have missed your blog but now I am back and I will be on top of things by the weekend... I look forward to your next post:)

  164. I am a morning person. I always have been. When growing up I was the first one up in the household of 5 children. I especially remember waking earlier than anyone during the Christmas Season, turning the tree lights on and sitting there mesmurized. Thanks for sharing... Have a great weekend!

  165. I am a night owl, always have been but as a mom I have to be a morning person as well. You learn to just appreciate the brief moments of peace wherever it comes.

  166. Depends on the day but most of the time I think I'm a morning person. I get my kids off to school, walk the dog, then make some coffee and spend time with God. Then I write. After that it's all chores and housework. Bleck:(

  167. I am a night owl! Always haha :)

I love that you always asks questions at the end of your posts. It is nice to know what other people think in relation to the things we like or are curious about. I personally think that we learn a lot that way :)

  168. i love mornings...i love the promise of the day to come.

but i also love early evening...when supper is done and i know i have a couple of hours to unwind any way i want...

  169. While I appreciate mornings for the tranquility they offer it's rare that I purposefully get up to enjoy them. Very much a night owl but I think it just means the mornings where I am wide awake I enjoy them a little bit more :)

  170. Blech! I do appreciate the mornings, but I am a creature of the night, like a little cockaroach. Lol maybe more like a fluffy mouse. Truly, I'd be interested to see how this morphs once I'm done with school and can focus full time on my art and comedy... I'm probably still going to like staying up late and sleeping in.

Reasons to love the night: the ticking of a clock in a silent room, the cricket symphony, streetlights, 24-hour diners in the wee hours, stars for gazing, the moon, midnight snacks, reading in bed for hours before falling asleep with the words. Nighttime is magical.

  173. Mornings are my favorite. It's the time when I feel most energized and alive and usually when I write. I like the feeling of awakening that each morning provides. Each morning, a new beginning. Ah, such bliss!
