Four Seasons...

Today’s blog post is just a simple question, since I’m curious.

Spring
Summer
Fall
Winter

Which is your favorite? And why?

163 comments:

  1. Winter!
I like the cold and the chance for snow. Where I live, it means no humidity for a few months.
It also means my lawn goes dormant and I don't have to mow it.
    Sports! Football and hockey.
And of course, the best holiday ever - Christmas.

  2. i'm so lucky to have grown up in a part of our country where each and every season is prominent and beautiful in their own unique ways- and I truly adore each for different reasons... however, I think autumn has completely stolen my heart :)

    ReplyDelete
  3. Summer.

I find winters and rainy season too limiting. Wearing so many clothes, staying inside all the time. Not that I am an outgoing kind of person (I should be one, I know), but still...

    ReplyDelete
  4. Summer. Everything is green. Flowers are beautiful, An abundance of colorful birds. Swimming outdoors is possible. Plus reminiscences from the distant past when I can remember the chant, "School's out, school's out; teachert let the fools out!" I still have that childhood joy.

    ReplyDelete
  5. FALL. Gorgeous leaves, crisp cool air, and college football.

    ReplyDelete
  6. It's spring for me, although summer is a close second. Spring for its promises, the opening of new buds, that limey-green color of freshness, flowering trees flushed with possibilities.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I welcome every new change of season and I'm fortunate to live in a geographic location where there are definite seasons. I especially like winter when the bugs are silent. I don't think I have a favorite.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I love your photos. Living in Canada I love all the seasons but if I had to pick I love those winter days when I can slip on my snowshoes and make my way across the farm and into the bush. There is no other feeling that compares to that complete solitude and peace. B

    ReplyDelete
  9. Autumn :-P There is seldom wind in autumn with often warm sunny days and cool nights and I like to see the relief in the trees as they drop their tired and burnt by the summer sun leaves to have a rest over winter.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Fall, the cooler air, the first fire of the season, the beauty of the maples as they change color. But I enjoy all seasons--skiing in winter, the budding out in the Spring, sailing in summer (I tend to canoe in all seasons, even winter if the rivers aren't frozen).

    ReplyDelete
  11. I've always liked the transitional seasons - autumn and spring.
Autumn is my absolute favorite because it reflects myself. I have an autumnal soul - mellow, placid, melancholy, sentimental, serene.....

  12. autumn....def the cooler air, the turning , brilliant colors before the long sleep, crisp mornings....fires....harvest....i def like all seasons for different reasons, but def autumn

  13. My favourite season is spring. Awakenings. Beginning. It's the start of everything beautiful that blooms and grows around us. After a long winter, it's the season I welcome with open arms.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I love Autumn. The only bad thing about Autumn is that Winter follows.

    ReplyDelete
  15. This is hard because it's really a toss-up between spring and fall. I'll choose spring because it's a time of rebirth and renewal and hope. :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Fall!!!!!
    Crisp air
    Halloween
    Comfort food
    Great clothes
    Fall festivals
    Football
    (The list goes on) :)

  17. Winter.

    because I live in Phoenix.

    Weather.com our temps today :(

Google our average temps in Dec./Jan.

  18. I love the fall up here in Edmonton. September and October. It smells so fresh outside and the sun is shining but it's a bit of a chill so you throw on layers and go for a walk in the ever changing river valley. Splendid.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Fall or Spring, then summer and last stupid snow and winter

    ReplyDelete
  20. I have all seasons... my favorite in order is:

    Fall
    Spring
    Summer
    Winter

Fall is my favorite as I love crunchy leaves and cool nights I can take long walks... ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  21. I love Fall with the cooler nights, people seem energized or at least I am. Love the leaves, and where I live after a dry summer the rain begins again.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Since my earliest memories, fall is my favorite. The cooler weather, moving in to the holiday season...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Best of all....she loved the fall :-)

    ReplyDelete
  24. this is really a hard one for me--but if i had to pick, i guess it would be fall---love the colors and crispness :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. I really look forward to all the seasons but I think my favorite is

    Fall

I love the beautiful colors on the trees and bushes, the crispness of the air after a hot humid summer here in the ozarks, I love the deep blue sky that comes in October, pumpkins, getting out in the woods again to get our firewood in for the winter, caramel apples, and fall hunting is in there too

    ReplyDelete
  26. Fall - it always signals new beginnings - school starting - and the colors, although in the southwest, the colors of the leaves aren't as spectacular as where I grew up in NYC.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Until a few years ago, my favorite was always fall. But then we lived in two different places that showed me how great summer can be when it's not miserably hot and oppressive. And after living through some really long, cold winters, I've also come to love spring. So my favorite is: all of them!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Tough question, but I would say that Fall is beautiful in the suburbs of New York, and surrounding states like Vermont and Pennsylvania. Also like Karen Walker says I used to look forward to the school's new year.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I love all of the seasons, but I love spring most of all.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I love every season and am lucky to live in Oregon where we have all four!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I love SPRING. SUMMER. & FALL. not liking much the cold of WINTER bring,.. most favorite one is FALL, I love how everything change the color of the leaves, it just simply BEAUTIFUL!:)

    ReplyDelete
  32. I love early spring, early summer, early fall and early winter when the seasons are in their infancy. The spring awakens and life returns, early summer is not too hot and flowers are so pretty, early autumn when the leaves are changing colors and it's starting to be cooler and early winter when the snow is fresh and delightful and it's not too cold. I love those time of the year equally. I don't like too hot, too cold, too wet, and a barren land.

  33. I'm thinking summer! I love the green on the ground. We have 4 true seasons here. When it's fall I feel like it's depressing because everything is going to die. I hate that it gets dark so early. When it's winter, everything is dead. When it's spring nothing is truly grown yet.

Plus my birthday is on the first day of summer. I was born to love summer.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Fall, it isn't hot or cold that much

    ReplyDelete
  35. I love every season except summers because we get sick of ever rising mercury here in Indian summers :X

    ReplyDelete
  36. It's a choice between fall and winter. I would say late, late fall or early winter, when it has gotten colder and there's a chance of snow. I love the stillness of a winter's day. And I can handle the cold soooooo much better than heat and humidity.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Winter in the south - ie: spring and fall everywhere else, lol

    ReplyDelete
  38. I like Fall. First of all, I'm too Celtic to enjoy hot tropical weather. I like cool, even crisp. But more than that, I love the colors, the smell of the air and leaves, and the light. There is something cozy about Autumn, still sunny days to spend outdoors, but cooler crisper days to sit by a fire.

I like Autumn root vegetables and all that can be created from these. I have fond Autumn memories, specifically one Autumn we spent by a beautiful lake fishing with my Dad.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I like them all. But I love Fall. I love the colors, the cool & crispness of the air. It's sweater weather, apple harvest time. Plus it is the best time to travel...kids are back in school and the crowds have thinned considerably and you usually have great weather.

    ReplyDelete
  40. definitely spring in texas (which occurs while most folks are still in winter mode). summer - too hot and long. fall - almost non-existent. winter - mild but a lot of brown.

in wisconsin, it was definitely fall. *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  41. Each season has something different to offer so it would be hard to choose between them. I love spring - then long for warmth, when the summer gets too hot I long for autumn chill, when the autumn gets damp and drizzley I long for the sharpness of winter and when the winter goes on for too long I dream of the freshness of spring and the lighter nights. Guess I'm just an all year round kinda gal.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I love living! There is something special about each season. My favorite though is the fall with all of the beautiful colors. The worst thing about fall is that I grow a year older in late September.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Being asked so directly, it’s hard to answer.
I love them all, each season has something special to offer. Spring and Autumn are perhaps just slightly ahead, winter my least favourite because here winter is often nothing but a cool English summer, with lots of rain, mist and wind.

But any season true to its name and nature is good for me.

But - and it’s a big but - you can have and keep really HOT days. Not my idea of fun at all.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I am an all season kind of girl now.

I used to REALLY DISLIKE winter... mostly because of the physical pain that can be caused from living in a town that does reach -40 temperatures... BUT... I have someone in my life, who, during this past winter, exposed me to so many beautiful things... that that person was able to change my perspective. Now, for me, winter is skating on frozen lakes, making snow angels under the stars, sitting in front of the fireplace, under blankets, drinking hot coco and talking for hours!

Fall is beautiful scarfs, hot tea, knee high boots and skinny jeans or fall coloured leggings, beautiful coloured leaves, long walks and pumpkins!

Summer is all sunshine and happy times!

Spring is watching flowers bloom, seeing baby animals (ahhh so cute!), longer days, evening walks!

    :)

  46. There are things I love about each season, but hands down my favorite is summer!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Lovely shots! Can't really choose as all of them have their beauty!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Fall forever! For everything stated above! You have such a huge amount of response on your blog, Keith, it is really hard to say anything new! What is your favorite season?

    ReplyDelete
  49. I just gotta have them all. There's something magical during every season.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Generally speaking I'd have to say summer thought every season has something to it. Winters here are long and brutal which tends to dim my enthusiasm of that season in particular and fall is a precursor to what's to come with that...it does effect my attitude admittedly.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Me too, I want them all for the contrast and to appreciate the contraction and expansion. Love the earth's cycles!

    ReplyDelete
  52. I love springtime, a time of renewal and re-birth...flowers start to bloom, trees come alive and the breeze it mild and pleasant. It's a happy time and a preview to warmer weather and relaxing times.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I love them all for different reasons but I could do with winter being a little shorter lol. If I have to choose..early fall I guess, before the rains start and the furnace comes on.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Spring and summer ~ Love the heat, detest the cold ~

    ReplyDelete
  55. Fabulous snapshots, Keith! Each season is unique and special. I fall in love with winter because of its magic stillness and the snow. There is something beautiful and sad about it. Fall is gorgeous. I've always loved its colors and its crisp dry air. It is energizing. Spring is lovely but it isn't my favorite season. Summer is the less likeable, but my daughter loves to swim and the days are long... Our preferences are biased by our own narrow-minded perspectives... if I were homeless I wouldn't love winter. Do you get my point?

    1. The word "the" before less should be deleted. Sorry for the typo... yes, you get the point.

  56. Spring- every Spring is like a new beginning. Everything blooms, the weather gets warmer, it's a happy season.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Spring is my favorite season. Everything comes alive and I love that. Also the heat hasn't set in yet so everything is bearable.

    Have a terrific day. ☺

    ReplyDelete
  58. I like them all, each one brings something different and change is necessary. Though I guess I favor spring and autumn a bit more - they are the balanced seasons. Summer and winter can be too extreme. I like my balance ;). Though I am finding this summer to be pleasant, despite the rain, but cooler temperatures. In Maryland, its been in the 90s, so glad that I am not there!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I love fall for one simple reason, I neither have to pay for heating or air conditioning. My wallet is thin enough as it is :)

    ReplyDelete
  60. I love fall and Winter (we are in Winter now here) but when arrive spring I find beauty because we coming after a hard Winter, but I love this cold air:) and summer because I love swim and the season fruits, I think each season have beauty but I really enjoy Fall!

    ReplyDelete
  61. I have always loved summer more than any other season!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Fall because the weather is perfect; Spring because the weather is almost perfect. Hate Winter and Summer because the weather sucks - Big Time!

    ReplyDelete
  63. They are all amazing and carry their own magics...

Summer; short, sweet, warm with its greens and wildflowers upon the tundra.

Autumn; The way the aspens shift from green to gold to ruby and flame. Nothing like out on the east coast, but still mesmerizing. There's also something about the gentle cast of light in early autumn I really dig.

Winter; Snowshoeing, winter hikes, and ice climbing. The way the snow transforms the landscape, making tried and familiar trails alien and new.

Spring; The return of light and humming birds. Renewal and the omens of summer.

And thus we have the full circle ;)...

    ReplyDelete
  64. Any but winter. I hate cold and snow. Though I am very partial to summer. I love the heat, the beach, the shorts and dresses, cookouts, parties. Activities seem endless in summer.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Oh gosh... this one is WAY easy.

Fall. Fall. Fall. Red heads look best in the autumn. :-)

I love cool weather. (Hate the sun!) And the fall is definitely the most magical time of year. Jeans and scarfs and boots. Hot chocolate. Halloween. Leaves. Pumpkins. Crisp air and haunted houses.

    Slam dunk!

(And LOL-ing at your exclamation point comment. You can see that I've been very careful not to use too many...)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Autumn...for all the same reasons you listed. i'm even a red head, too.

  66. I have to say fall is my favorite season. There's just something so cozy and romantic about it! I love when the leaves start to change color as well. Just the other day I was thinking about how fall will be here before we know it and I was getting excited!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Fall is my favorite season by far. The trees are glorious and the days are cooler. Which is why Fall is my neighbors' favorite season, too. I have to wear more clothes.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Tough choice Keith for each one holds excitement for me. Summer may be my least favorite since the thermometers have learned to record over 100 degrees with ease. Spring is wonderful for new growth and promise, Fall for the lovely colors and cool down from Summer but Winter also pleases with the cold(which I like) and snow--real snow.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I love something about them all but Autumn is my favorite. It is gone so fast and while it is here I feel so alive1

    ReplyDelete
  70. Great question, great answers! I love all the seasons. They each hold something special. Spring with all the flowers blooming, baby calves running and playing, branding, riding horses, waiting for summers bbq's, cooling off in the pool, riding horses, waiting for the heat of summer to transition into the cool crisp air of fall, raking leaves, sorting cows, preg testing cows, riding horses. Then winter, sparkling snow, feeding cows, calving season, riding horses. I guess you can say I like them all! :)

    ReplyDelete
  71. Well, I love to ski, so winter is a big favorite with me. But as an elementary school teacher, I have time off in the summer to write full time -- so summer is awesome, too. (Although I don't much care for being hot and/or sweating.)

    ReplyDelete
  72. Fall. Changeable weather, frost, colors, sweaters, snuggling, baking, rain, sun, harvest, walks in the woods, hot drinks, looking forward to holidays, EVERYTHING.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Hi Keith English Spring, Summer and Autumn - just not very cold .. it's been miserable in recent years ... and I'm loving the warm weather we're having at the moment ...

    So warm please! Cheers Hilary

    ReplyDelete
  74. I love all seasons, but especially Autumn because of everything April just said and mostly because of the beautiful golden light. So dreamy. xo

    ReplyDelete
  75. I enjoy the change of seasons, and love each one of them for different reasons. But there's something special about autumn. The brilliant color of the leaves and chrysanthemums, relief from the summer heat, crisp apples for making pies, and the start of football season. It doesn't get much better than that.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Today I like the summer because we've had wall to wall sunshine all day.But saying that, each season has lots to offer. I find winter the hardest, but if there was no winter, how could we look forward to spring.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Up here in the northern tropics of Australia, I would have to say WINTER and simply because it gives a reprieve from the sapping humid heat that is pretty much constant the rest of the year round.
However, when I lived in the southern regions of Oz, where we did enjoy 4 distinct seasons, I loved all, with the exception of HIGH SUMMER (too hot to enjoy anything) I enjoy the change of seasons, as 'time' becomes evident and more keenly felt. Life is meant to have variety - it's good for our soul!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Doesn't seem to be such a thing as four definitive seasons any more.

When we had four seasons, I liked them all equally. I find wonder in all seasons.

What's your favourite season and why,Keith?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Autumn> I love the crisp air, the scents, and the holidays approaching!

      Delete
  79. While there are aspects of each season that I love, I am NOT a fan of the heat and humidity of summer, and never have been! Spring and fall are probably tied, with winter next.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Either late spring or early autumn - not too hot or cold, crisp air, little rain, the anticipation of the coming season.

    ReplyDelete
  81. winter because I love cold weather and it's christmas + my birthday!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Spring and Fall, just because everything is changing! I don't think I could ever live somewhere where there are no seasons. To me, each one is so beautiful and a gift from God. Your pictures are lovely, did you take them all?

    ReplyDelete
  83. Spring, because it is the season of new beginnings. Summer is ungodly in Florida. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  84. Summer! I love the heat, BBQ's, swimming, sunnin' myself. I love the clothes, my mood is better, everything is better in the summer! Early autumn is great too!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Amazing! I never realized that so many people like the fall! NOT my favorite season! In fact, probably my least favorite. Spring is king in my book but followed VERY closely by summer :)

    ReplyDelete
  86. Love the fall- it is still warm, but NOT boiling hot and it smells great! Have a happy day Keith!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Autumn...waning sun, but still there, crispy leaves, Halloween, bonfires, soup.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I hate hate hate picking favourites. Love so many things for so many reasons. Being a gardener though, if I had to pick one, spring. Fresh green leaves, the promise of warm weather to come, getting out of the house after a long winter...

    ReplyDelete
  89. I love autumn, and esp. the transition between summer and fall. When it rains in autumn, the worms don't come out like they do in the spring time. I hate worms, but I love the rain, so autumn provides the perfect time to enjoy what I love so much!

    ReplyDelete
  90. I love the Fall most followed by Winter. I moved here from Phoenix and everyone knows they only have two seasons, hot and hotter.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Why choose? Only one I really dislike is summer.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I prefer the autumn, especially in the beginning. I physically don't feel too well in high temperatures, I need the cool breeze of autumn to clear my mind.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Fall. I love the colors and the weather and the smell. :)

    ReplyDelete
  94. Fall. I love when it changes from Summer to Fall. How the leaves just insta-change colors and how it smells. Although, since I relocated to Texas, that doesn't happen. haha.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I am a winter girl. I feel most like myself dressed up in layers, warm and cozy....preferably with boots on. I love the brisk air when you walk outside. I like the warmth inside. Hot tea, fires, snuggly blankets.... I just don't function in the heat.....so I feel revived when the temp starts to turn cold. I come alive again!!!

    ReplyDelete
  96. I love Winter ... just not 5 months of it ... so I escape and return usually ... a gypsy is a gypsy is a gypsy :)

    ReplyDelete
  97. Spring. I like flowers, the color green, warm temperatures, and new beginnings. You?

    ReplyDelete
  98. Fall or winter. Everything is dead and the weather is colder.

    ReplyDelete
  99. As a gardener, I've always welcomed autumn as a time of calm, when shrubs and people begin behaving themselves again. I suspect it's that grainy golden light that comes in atom by atom. Magic.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Lovely post!
To me I love all of them.
    It brings variety.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Fall in New England can't be beat.

    ReplyDelete
  102. none of them, and each one :) I love them all. Without one of them something will missing. everything is perfect. everything is just like it is. perfect... after rain, sun. Just 10 minutes was raining, now I sun is shining. It's my big miracles :)
I wish you what you need Here and Now my rainbow friend :)
I am happy that you are and I can see a small part of your world :)

    ReplyDelete
  103. I prefer the winter. I like the crisp cool air and snow.

    Madison:)

    ReplyDelete
  104. Spring or fall. Maybe summer. Never winter. :)

    ReplyDelete
  105. We get all four seasons where I live and I love them all. Always happy to see them come and just as happy to see them go. Variety is the spice of life.

    ReplyDelete
  106. A short winter with some snow, followed by a glorious spring, a long summer and a late autumn will do very nicely thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I have to say that I love all 4 seasons....but Spring may come out on top...after a long cold winter, watching the flowers come into bloom is so very welcome!

    ReplyDelete
  108. In India, the fall and spring are short lived (or maybe that's what I think) :P

I love the rainy season! The beauty of those water droplets falling in you, in the harshness of the sun, soothing your skin, like a temporary relief to an extended pain. Holding your hair like a massage, drenching you in itself percolating till it reaches the skin. It's beyond beauty. It's true love. Its the nature embracing you! I can't ever miss out on falling rain without dancing in it! :)

    ReplyDelete
  109. Fall!
    Mild temps.
    Best time to view wildlife.
Most camping trips are over and school's in session, which means less peeps in the national parks and hiking trails less crowded.
Best of all, the leaves changing, falling and it's just so dang beautiful then!

    ReplyDelete
  110. As long as they don't overstay their welcome (not uncommon over here), they're all very welcome. If I had to go for one though it would be spring with it's progression of snowdrops, then crocuses, daffs and bluebells.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Forever I was an autumn girl. Forever! But this Spring was a very meaningful time of renewal for me so I feel torn ...

    ReplyDelete
  112. I have more than one, I love spring and fall. Summer is Ok! But, I do not like the cold, snow or icy weather. So winter is not a happy time for me. Love your mosaic.. Have a happy week!

    ReplyDelete
  113. Summer - I hate wearing layers of clothes. Also means we spend loads more time as a family away from computers and TV and spend time at the pool.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Fall, because it is a new beginning :-).

    ReplyDelete
  115. Fall. The smells, the sounds, the weather, the colors... I could go on forever.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Too difficult to choose a favorite. I look forward to them all, but I do tend to get down in the dumps during winter, though I've gotten better at embracing the frigid ness that winter brings. : )

    ReplyDelete
  117. I love them all but Fall is my favorite.

    ReplyDelete
  118. EVERY ONE except winter...and that is longer than all three combined!!! :-(

    ReplyDelete
  119. I love spring for all the colors it offer :-)

    ReplyDelete
  120. I believe each season has its own essence to become favorite. But among the four u listed, I love winter for its chillness. Living in a weather condition of almost warm, winter and rainy seasons are the time where the temperature rise down.

    ReplyDelete
  121. We have two seasons here in Las Vegas...hot and cool. It was 117F two weeks ago and in the summer we pretty much expect that. In the winter we have cool days of around 50F. I don't really consider that cold and we don't get snow here. So my favorite would be the winters here.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Oh definitely summer!
I love the heat, the deep greens, the beautiful flowers and long days on the river...:)

    ReplyDelete
  123. Spring, with all the sweet colors popping out and the wildflowers...but colorful autumn rates almost as high...

    ReplyDelete
  124. i always used to answer summer and then moan about how hot it is when it actually was summer.. what i really like is late spring and early autumn; the weather's good and a sense of change is in the air:-) x

    ReplyDelete
  125. I personally enjoy every season and being in India, I have no option but to bow under every one of them :)

    ReplyDelete
  126. I really don't have a favorite. Each one is special and beautiful and I enjoy every one. : )

    ReplyDelete
  127. Autumn and spring. Death and rebirth. And I am Scorpio, autumn sign. That should suffice! :-)

    Greetings from London.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Fall because the leaves start falling. And its the start of rain season, which is great.

    ReplyDelete
  129. My order - Fall, spring, winter, summer - can you guess - I don't like heat all that much! lol sandie

    ReplyDelete
  130. We don´t have a lot of differences between seasons here, we have a very stable weather, but the most prominent is summer (which sometimes can become quite hot), so I do love fall. Days are colder, light is wonderful and not so sharp, the cool breeze and the begining of new activities, new projects... new expectations (as a teacher, my year always starts in september)

    ReplyDelete
  131. That's a toughie. I love them all, but winter is my least favorite because the cold weather makes my joints hurt.
The spring is good because of gardens, and the fall is fun because of the color and college football.

    ReplyDelete
  132. I love Winter because I love the rain, cold days, etc. And I know it is strange.

  134. I would like spring - but it's too short here; I'd like fall but it's very short here, I hate winter, it's very long and cold here,so I value every summer day, it's warm, sometimes hot, lovely weather!

  135. I love them all! Spring is my least favorite, only because it tends to be the most rainy - and the mud season in Vermont prevents most of my favorite outdoor activities. But then, I do love all the new buds and green and blooms coming back to life. Sorry - I can't answer this one.

  136. I love them all. The only time of year i generally don't like is November, because by then all the beauty of the autumn leaves has gone but it's not yet really winter with the beauty of frost and snow. However we've had lovely Novembers for the past 2 years so...

  137. Summer! But having lived in Brazil (which is kind of like living in perpetual summer) for the past year I have to say that I have a new appreciation for the other three. :)

  138. There are things that I love about each season. But for most of my life I have loved Fall the best, because it is the close of such a busy season, and brings a feeling of peace and rest, as well as a feeling of starting over fresh and new again. In some ways it reminds me of New Years... New beginnings... :)

  139. Fall and Winter, cause summer in Brazil is too hot and the sun too strong

  140. Summer is great - but in a land prone to fire it can be a little too great at times! That leaves all the other three in equal first.

When I was a kid, spring in the UK had such a great appeal that it was impossible not to like it!

  141. Summer is the standard by which I measure all other seasons. It's warm. Life grows and thrives. Autumn is the only season I dislike. It robs life from the earth.

  142. I love spring. The renewal of life ( plus I am still alive to see it! ) the birdsong and spring green after the drabness of winter.

  143. I live in Utah where we are lucky enough to get all four seasons--sometimes in one day ;) I LOVE the spring and the fall. It's that perfect temperature with visible transitions into flower season or the beautiful colours of the fall. The spring is particularly lovely as birds start to sing in the morning and the days get longer.

  144. Definitely spring and fall, because I like a nice, breezy day when you can open the windows and let fresh air in. But spring days are rare around the Toronto area now. We go from snow to hot and humid in days. ;)

  145. Definitely autumn :) I love the cool, rainy days and the beautiful colours of the leaves.Maybe this is weird but I also find the sorrow of leaves falling peaceful, because they remind me that everything has an end that will eventually start with a new beginning.
